WHP Rental Terms


RENTALS CHARGES: Grip/Electric Equipment are rented on a four-day week; Vehicles and packages are rented on a daily rate. Rental period begins at the time of pickup and runs in 24 hour increments. Equipment returned after 24 hours will be charged another days rent, unless prior arrangements have been made. 

Travel days or package hold days is charged at 50% of daily  rate. 

Renter is responsible for all shipping and handling charges including inter-island shipping.

PAYMENT: Renter agrees to make payment in full for equipment, vehicles and labor upon receipt of your invoice. 

If paying via a credit card, renter agrees to pay a 3% transaction fee that may not be reflected on the original  invoice.

CONFIRMATION: Equipment, vehicles and labor are officially confirmed once your invoice is paid in full.

CANCELLATION:  Equipment, vehicles and/or labor ordered, but cancelled less than 24 hours;  one business day of  scheduled time will be subject to the full applicable rates. All other cancellations  will be charged  a 15% processing fee.

LABOR: Day rates are for ten (10) hour days, time and a half for hours over ten, and overtime rate of double time after twelve (12). 

All consulting and Scouting rates are on a hourly/portal to portal basis.  

Down days, rain-outs, and stand-by rates are at 2/3 single day rate. 

A premium 2x rate is required on all Sundays and federal holidays. 

Travel, Transportation costs, single accommodation lodging, Per Diems, etc. are additional. 

Travel days are 2/3 prevailing day rate. 

Driving production vehicles constitute a 10-hour day rate, portal to portal.

Meals are within six hour intervals of crew call and not to exceed one hour in length off the clock. WHP offers crew coordinating and booking service, cost is 15% of the total crew rate.

OWNERSHIP: Title and ownership of all equipment rented remain the sole property of Work Horse Productions.

LIABILITY: Work Horse Productions, is not responsible for any liabilities, claims, costs, or expenses arising out of the use or possession of its equipment. Renter acknowledges that the rental equipment is offered for test and inspection at the time of rental. Work Horse Productions assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the performance of the equipment and no claim for liability or rental reduction shall be allowed due to alleged failure of the equipment, no allowance will be made for periods of time in which the equipment was in the renter's possession but not actually used. If the unit is lost, damaged, or damaged beyond repair, the renter shall be charged full list price for the repair or replacement. 

EQUIPMENT RELEASE: Renter agrees not to release or re-deliver said equipment to any other, person, firm, or corporation without the written consent of Work Horse Productions.

INSPECTION: Renter agrees to admit owner or his agent to enter the premises upon which equipment is kept for the purpose of checking condition of owner's equipment and for the purpose of repossessing the equipment in the event the renter is in default of any term of the rental contract.


LOSS/LIABILITY: Renter shall provide his own insurance to cover full value of the equipment rented, for any and all loss, damage, or liability which may occur. A certificate of insurance is required naming of Work Horse Productions as "additional insured" and as loss payee, before equipment can be released. A minimum of $1,000,000.00 combined single limits, bodily injury, and property damage is to be maintained for the term of this rental. 

The renter shall remain fully responsible for the equipment during shipping.

L&D: Lessee agrees to pay the FULL REPLACEMENT/REPAIR COST  of lost or damaged equipment within 15 days of evaluation. Lessee can then seek reimbursement from their insurance company of their own accord. Lessee shall be obligated for loss of rental income until such time as equipment is fully repaired and returned to Lessor or full payment in settlement of loss received by Lessor.

VEHICLES: For vehicles/generators, the renter agrees to provide auto, body injury, and property damage insurance, with no less than $1,000,000.00 combined single limits. Renter agrees to provide physical damage (comprehensive and collision) coverage on a blanket basis to any vehicles that Work Horse Productions may provide to the renter, with a limit of not less than $125,000.00.  

Renter is responsible to pay all fuel cost for vehicles and generators, return with full tank of gas.

VEHICLE DRIVERS: Work Horse Productions employees are the only license and insured drivers allowed to drive our company vehicles. 

Our Vehicle Rentals come with our designated WHP driver.

DELIVERY SERVICE: Delivery service is available. Price various on load size and destination , minimum charge of $75.00  per stop.

The Renter agrees to all terms and conditions for any and all equipment rented from Work Horse Productions, the owner, prior to shipment or delivery.
